CIDO: Local Community Radio
So many of you have expressed an interest in supporting community radio with volunteer activity To begin the process we invite new and current members, volunteers and programmers to meet for a Volunteer/Radio Station Information Session February 21, 10:00 am to noon.
Creston Chamber of Commerce Group Room For Volunteer and Radio Information Team Building Focus Groups. NO EXPERIENCE NEEDED
Are you interested in helping with the following tasks, and more: clerical assistance, assisting with marketing and sponsorship, assisting the fund raising committee to coordinate grant management and design and production of fund raising events, developing and recording programs based on volunteer interest, editing and producing existing programs, conducting research that will reach into the Creston Valley to assess the interests of the listening audience.
The primary purpose of the session on February 21 is to introduce people to how a community radio works, the variety of tasks involved and to assess the interests of potential volunteers and to determine what training we have to design to build volunteer confidence and get volunteer activity buzzing. We, the Board, understand that training is the first step to a vibrant volunteer community at CIDO. To this end we have developed a volunteer committee, headed by Maureen Cameron, long time volunteer manager and a training committee, headed by Kuya Minogue, a retired College Administrator. Come and meet some of the current programmers and share your vision and passions.
If you’ve ever thought of getting active in your community radio station,
NOW IS THE TIME
