Looking Ahead

July 13th: PaintOut at the OK Corral (aka Garden Hoe Farms)
Would you like a chance to socialize for a few hours with like-minded artisans, in an atmosphere of lush growth? Would you like to create for a while, without the distraction of phones, faxes and interruptions? Would you like an opportunity to contribute financially to your local arts groups (and your own wallet)?

Garden Hoe Farms, Wynndel, and Painted Turtle Gallery, Creston, are banding together (tied with reeds andtwine) to create an event in support of the local artistic community. Artists, artisans, craftspeople and other zanies will spend six hours creating in and out of the greenhouse at Garden Hoe Farms. You can paint, photograph, weave, colour, hammer, play to your heart’s content. You can sell what you have on hand (previously created or done on site) to the crowds looking over your shoulder. By 3 pm, one piece must be completed, created and donated for a silent auction. Between 3 and 4 pm, the auction takes place, and thenyou’re free to go for the day. Proceeds, after expenses, to be split between Creston Art club and CommunityArts Council of Creston.

You’ll bring: Your lunch, chair, paints, brushes, easel and whatever you need to create your masterpieces.

We’ll supply: Excellent weather, refreshments, advertising, music and a beautiful location.

Sponsored by Garden Hoe Farms, Wynndel, and Painted Turtle Gallery, Creston
